“方块交大”虚拟校园项目，由上海交通大学Minecraft社于2021年3月25日发起，基于三维重建、虚拟现实和人工智能技术，构建高拟真、强沉浸、富交互的三维数字虚拟实景校园，真正实现沉浸式“云游”交大。同时，在使用方块重建校园模型中，构建衍生系统和服务应用，着眼风貌宣传、科教服务、文化活动、创新育人四大领域，设计一系列文化推广计划，深度融入校园网络文化矩阵、助力宣传工作创新开展。
2024年4月8日，正值上海交通大学建校128周年期间，“方块交大”虚拟校园闵行校区正式竣工，在交大朋友圈“刷屏”亮相。上海交通大学Minecraft社，一个创建仅有三年时间的年轻学生社团，在虚拟现实世界中，复原了整个上海交通大学的校园。1000+个日日夜夜，60+位建设者用10,000,000+个像素方块构筑起了云上“交大世界”。
“方块交大”虚拟校园闵行校区完工后，现已推出“方块交大”虚拟实景地图，正式上线上海交通大学校园电子地图，成为换种方式看交大的新选择。点击地图中的标签即可查看对应地标的简介和在“方块交大”虚拟校园中的近景，点击“闵行校区”按钮可以切换校区和俯视视角，还可以在“沉浸体验”中通过第一人称视角沉浸式游览。
”我们爱Minecraft，我们更爱交大，我们想用方块交大，让更多人感受到我们的热爱。“在这个年轻的社团中，热爱不设限，各种想法的融入与碰撞是“方块交大”的生命力所在。自建社以来，交大Minecraft社始终致力于将虚实结合的元宇宙概念运用于次世代虚拟校园建设，塑造学生自己的交大文化新品牌。社团开设了展示服务器和多版本兼容的建设服务器，实行服务器验证和建筑承包等机制。为引导更多感兴趣的同学加入还原项目中，社团还安排进行建筑方面的思路、技巧、插件讲解，有效提高了工作效率。
“方块交大”项目不仅是数字世界中的手办模型，更是上海交通大学在赛博世界中的“数字孪生”。“方块交大”提供了一个赛博空间的活动场域，在接入交大统一身份认证接口后，实现了具有“共享、安全、稳定”特性的在线多人活动平台，突破了线下场馆在时间与空间层面的诸多限制、为交大师生提供了多维度的服务。“方块交大”为2022年《云游交大》招生宣传片提供录制场地、为2022年毕业生提供云端毕业典礼，为虚拟现实顶级国际会议IEEE VR 2023提供虚拟会场；为数字电路课程提供线上教室、第二课堂视频播放量超过50万；构建2023届研究生毕业礼物《凝聚》；在网络信息中心的支持下，交大的校园卡新增了“方块交大”概念图，如今已经成了交大学生最喜欢的校园卡面设计；将自研电子地图技术与人工智能技术深度融合，发表多篇学术论文与国家专利……“方块交大”虚实结合的理念被运用于次世代虚拟校园建设，由学生自己塑造交大文化新品牌，获得共青团中央、央视网转播。
在社团成立之初，社团成员就进行过讨论，最终决定继承并继续开发原上海交通大学沙盒社留下的还原交大项目存档，作为社团重要企划“方块交大”。2021年3月25日，还原交大存档从1.8升级到1.16.5，SJMC正式开始对方块交大的进一步建造。
原本的还原交大存档将整个校园进行了卫星地图的投影，按照1:1的比例勾勒了建筑轮廓，便于接下来的建造。旧存档中，原沙盒社成员完成了西一区、东二区、第二、三餐饮大楼、微电子学院的建造，约占全校总面积的十分之一。
SJMC继承存档后，开设了展示服务器和多版本兼容的建设服务器，实行服务器验证和建筑承包等机制。为引导更多感兴趣的同学加入还原项目中，社团还安排进行建筑方面的思路、技巧、插件讲解，有效提高了工作效率。在社团群内，群友们积极认真地讨论如何能够更好地还原交大。
“方块交大·闵行校区”的竣工并非终点。即将投入使用的闵行北校区、铭刻交大历史的徐汇校区、医学院所在的黄浦校区、正在建设的大零号湾和浦东校区……都已在方块交大的规划中提上日程。“方块交大”项目组正对高校元宇宙建设开展实践与探索。“方块交大”项目组在指导教师和全体社员的不懈努力中，正向着探索校园“元宇宙”的方向坚定迈进。项目组着眼风貌宣传、科教服务、文化活动、创新育人四大领域，提出一系列文化推广计划，深度融入新时代校园网络文化宣传矩阵与科技创新育人体系，书写好交大学子的校园文化品牌。

Voxel-SJTU
The "Voxel-SJTU" virtual campus project was initiated by Shanghai Jiao Tong University Minecraft Club (SJMC) on March 25, 2021. Based on 3D reconstruction, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence technologies, it constructs a highly realistic, immersive, and interactive 3D digital virtual campus, truly realizing an immersive "online tour" of SJTU. While using blocks to reconstruct the campus model, the club also develops derivative systems and service applications, focusing on four main areas: landscape promotion, science and education services, cultural activities, and innovative education. A series of cultural promotion programs have been designed to deeply integrate with the campus network cultural matrix and support the innovation of publicity work.
On April 8, 2024, during the 128th anniversary of the founding of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the Minhang campus of "Voxel-SJTU" was completed. SJMC, a young student club created only three years ago, has recreated the entire Shanghai Jiao Tong University Minhang campus in the virtual reality world. In more than 1,000 days and nights, over 60 builders used more than 100,000,000 voxel blocks to build the online "SJTU World".
After the completion of the "Voxel-SJTU" virtual campus in Minhang, a virtual reality campus map has been launched and officially integrated into the electronic campus map of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, becoming a new way to explore SJTU. By clicking on the tags on the map, you can view the introduction of the corresponding landmarks and their close-up views in the "Voxel-SJTU" virtual campus. You can also switch between campuses and aerial views by clicking the "Minhang Campus" button, and immerse yourself in a first-person perspective tour in the "Immersive Experience".
"We love Minecraft, and we love SJTU even more. We want to use 'Voxel-SJTU' to let more people feel our love." In this young club, the passion knows no bounds, and the integration and collision of various ideas are the vitality of "Voxel-SJTU". Since the establishment of the club, the SJTU Minecraft Club has always been committed to applying the concept of the metaverse that combines virtual and reality to the construction of the next-generation virtual campus, shaping a new brand of SJTU culture for the students. The club has set up a display server and a multi-version compatible construction server, implementing server verification and architecture contracting mechanisms. To guide more interested students to join the restoration project, the club also arranges lectures on architectural ideas, techniques, and plugins, which effectively improves the workflow.
The "Voxel-SJTU" project is not only a digital model in the virtual world, but also the "digital twin" of Shanghai Jiao Tong University in the cyber world. "Voxel-SJTU" provides a cyber space activity venue, and after integrating the authentication system of SJTU, it has realized an online multi-person activity platform with the characteristics of "sharing, security, and stability", breaking through the many limitations of offline venues in time and space, and offering multi-dimensional services for SJTU faculties and students. "Voxel-SJTU" constructed a "film studio" for the 2022 SJTU admission promotional video, organized the online graduation ceremony for the 2022 graduates, and served as the virtual venue for the top international virtual reality conference IEEE VR 2023. Besides, it provided an online classroom for the digital circuit extra-curricular course, and it's playback video has over 500,000 viewers. It also gave elements to the 2023 graduate gift "Aggregation". With the support of the Network Information Center, the new SJTU student card has added the "Voxel-SJTU" concept design, which has become the most popular student card design for SJTU students. SJMC has deeply integrated self-developed electronic map technology and artificial intelligence technology, and published multiple academic papers and national patents… The concept of combining virtual and reality has been applied to the construction of the next-generation virtual campus, with students themselves shaping the new brand of SJTU culture, and has been reported by the Communist Youth League of China and China Central Television.
